🎏 Kodomo no Hi, or “Children’s Day,” is a fun and exciting opportunity for young people to learn more about Japanese culture. Hosted by the JCCCW, this free-to-attend annual festival connects children and families in the community with a shared multicultural experience. Japanese and Japanese American culture, art, history, food, music and more are waiting for you at this celebration of children!The theme of this year’s event is “Yokai, Mysterious Creatures and Spirits in Japanese Folklore”, highlighting the fascinating stories of Japan’s many Yokai spirits. Come join us for a variety of Yokai-themed activities, including a special Yokai exhibit and a presentation by Zack Davisson, a Yokai specialist! Let’s celebrate these unique creatures and learn about Yokai together!

🎏 「Kodomo no Hi （こどもの日）」は、ワシントン州日本文化会館が日本の祝日である「こどもの日」に合わせて開催しているイベントです。毎年日本や日系の文化を紹介しており、今年は「妖怪」がテーマ。妖怪にまつわるアクティビティや展示、また特別企画として水木しげるのマンガ、「ゲゲゲの鬼太郎」の翻訳家で妖怪に関する著書も多数あるザック・デイヴィソンさんのお話も予定しています。詳しくはウェブサイトをご確認ください。入場無料でどなたでもご来場になれます。是非お越しください。
