About this Event

As part of Sustainable Fashion Week 2026, join us at our Queen Street Hospice Shop for a creative Mending Workshop and discover how a little repair can give clothes a new lease of life.

You’ll learn creative techniques to mend, refresh and transform damaged knitwear into something stylish and unique.

We’ll provide everything you need, including the woollen garment you’ll work on, as well as all materials, tools and supplies. The knitwear used in the workshop has been donated to our Hospice Shops but, because of holes or damage, would usually be sent for textile recycling rather than sold.

The workshop will show how a little creativity can give these items another chance, helping us reduce textile waste while finding new ways for donated clothing to raise vital funds for the hospice.

Taking place during Sustainable Fashion Week, from 26 September to 4 October, the workshop celebrates a more sustainable approach to fashion by encouraging us to repair, reuse and re-wear clothes rather than throw them away.

Supporting Glasgow’s Hospice

By taking part, you’ll also be supporting The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice. Our Hospice Shops raise vital funds to help us provide care and support to patients and families across Glasgow.

Every ticket helps support Glasgow’s Hospice while giving clothing that might otherwise go to waste a new lease of life.
