Come join us for a fun-filled day at Dixon Lake for the Kiwanis Fishing Derby before Thanksgiving! Bring your little ones to enjoy the free kiddie pond where they can try their hand at catching their first fish. Our senior anglers will provide equipment and guidance to the kids. Do bring an ice cooler to store the fish, so you can enjoy the event after your kid has caught their fish. OR you can give away that fish to one of the anglers who have been trying to catch a fish but have not been lucky thus far.

This in-person event promises a day of excitement and bonding with your family. Don't miss out on this fantastic opportunity to create lasting memories in the great outdoors. You can bring your own food or enjoy breakfast and lunch from one of our stalls. All funds raised through this event go towards serving the children of Escondido.

Fishing prizes for Adults & Juniors

• Newly stocked with 4500 lbs of Rainbow Trout

• 15 Tagged Fish – Guaranteed to win a $25 prize

• Free Kiddie Pond for ages 8 and under (9-11AM, 1-3PM) Saturday and Sunday only

California Fishing License NOT Required

Park Entrance Fee = $5 per vehicle

Fishing permits =$20 Adult, $14 junior, $14 Senior

Kiddy Pond = FREE (Poles and bait provided by Sr. Anglers)

Kona Ice Vendor available

Hot Breakfast Sandwich 6-10 AM each day

BBQ Hamburgers/Hotdogs/Bratwurst/Sodas 11-3 PM each day

Prizes = Grand Prize, 1st/2nd/3rd Place (entire event),1st/2nd Place (each day) – Adults & Junior (12 Prizes) + 15 Tagged Fish
