About this Event

Join us on the Third Floor for the latest instalment of Kitchen Stories, as we welcome award-winning food historian, writer, and flavour expert Priya Mani and Fortnum's very own archivist Louise Woof for a fascinating exploration of the world's favourite spices.

Founder of Copenhagen's Appetite Studio, Priya is renowned for her research-driven approach to ingredients, culture, and cuisine. Her work uncovers the remarkable stories behind the flavours that shape how we cook and eat today.

Drawing on her beautiful new book, Spiced, published by Phaidon, Priya will take us on a journey around the globe through the history, origin, and impact of spices on world cuisine from cardamom and turmeric to grains of paradise and nutmeg. Blending recipes, history and culinary insight, the book is an inspiring guide for curious cooks looking to bring new flavours into their kitchens.
