Kitchen Pail and Compost Giveaway

Join Republic Services for our Kitchen Pail and Compost Giveaway event at Citrus Heights City Hall on September 12, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. This event is exclusively for Citrus Heights residents, and proof of residency will be required at check-in using a valid ID or utility bill.

Attendees will have the opportunity to receive a free kitchen pail to help collect food scraps for composting. While advance registration is optional, it is encouraged, as it allows participants to reserve a kitchen pail ahead of time. Walk-ups are welcome, but all items will be distributed only while supplies last. Registration closes on September 11, 2026.

In addition to the pail giveaway, compost will be available on-site for residents to take home. This portion of the event will be self-serve, so participants should bring their own shovels and containers to transport compost.
