Kintaro Akiyama is a Toronto based songwriter and musician who has amassed millions of streams, and played hundreds of shows. His solo project “kintaro” showcases his roots of jazz, folk and RnB. He will be performing with his trio (Jonah Kissoon, Ryan McDonald); playing songs off his new record “adieu, i do” as well as previous his previous release “to death, with love”.
Chris Blades is a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist hailing from Halifax and based in Toronto. He has released numerous albums and toured North America as a member of his band Birds of Bellwoods and also performs under his own name as a solo act. His sound has been described as a mix of folk, baroque-pop, and psychedelia.
Chris and Kintaro were both previously members of Toronto folk-rock band Birds of Bellwoods where they toured North America, and had over 40 million streams. This evening will be the first time they take the stage as two separate acts, and will surely be a night to remember! The show starts at 7:30pm, Tickets are $15 in advance and at the door.
