Inspired by Caroline Walker: *Mothering* and following on from our joint social in July, we are pleased to invite you to KiNSHIP CREATIVES’ first ‘Meet’ in Penzance. 🎨✨
KiNSHIP CREATIVES ‘Meets’ offer a welcoming space for professional creatives working across any art discipline in Cornwall, who are navigating creative practice and M/Otherhood. This is an opportunity to meet, talk, dream, and find ways to stay creatively connected. 🤝💭
There will be coffee ☕, conversation, and a chance to take part in some relaxed art activity 🎨 — or simply chat with other artists navigating this particular time in life.
This is a free session and babies and children are very welcome. 👶💛 Please email to secure your place so we have an idea of numbers.
KiNSHIP CREATIVES is a Cornwall-based initiative co-founded by Emily Alden and Rosanna Elliott. It brings together artist parents from all disciplines, creating opportunities for connection, conversation and creative community during the transition into parenthood and beyond. 🌱 Through peer-to-peer connection via ‘Meets’ and art workshops at partner organisations, KiNSHIP is a space to explore solutions to some of the many challenges that face parents returning to work & creative practice.
**Please note:** KiNSHIP CREATIVES defines M/Others as all those who identify with ‘doing the work of mothering’. You do not need to be actively making work to attend. We recognise that there can be many barriers to maintaining a creative practice after becoming a parent, and this is a welcoming space to connect with others, share experiences and explore creativity together. 💛
