About this Event
The Kingston Good Food Group warmly invites people involved in food growing, food surplus, community food projects, food education, sustainability, and local resilience work to join us for a collaborative gathering focused on strengthening Kingston’s local food network and community resilience.
This session is an opportunity to connect with others across the borough, share updates and ideas, map existing community assets, and explore how we can work together to build a stronger, more resilient local food system for the future.
As part of the day, Danielle O'Shaughnessy from Kingston Hive Climate Emergency Centre will facilitate an interactive tabletop exercise exploring the emergency scenario of a food shortage. Together, we will consider how local organisations, groups, and residents might respond collaboratively, helping to inform Kingston’s ongoing community resilience planning.
We are particularly keen to hear from people and groups working in:
- Community food growing
- Food surplus and redistribution
- Food education and cooking skills
- Climate and sustainability projects
- Community wellbeing and resilience
Spaces are limited to help keep the session collaborative and participatory. If you are interested in attending, please get in touch with [email protected] or [email protected]
