Tahmina is a British-Bangladeshi Geordie spoken word poet, producer, facilitator, and mother. Mentored by renowned poets Hollie McNish and Deanna Rodger, she has headlined events across the region and performed on platforms including the BBC and The Glasshouse. Her work centres on resistance, identity, and belonging. Tahmina founded and hosts Freespill poetry night and her debut poetry collection Spoken is a unique take on bringing performance to the page. Poetry has been central to her wellbeing, and through workshops she shares these tools to inspire change.
