WORKSHOP 1

Does your instructor say the word 'flow' and your heart sinks, as you just know you're going to struggle with the co-ordination and complexity of the combo?
In this 90 minute workshop we'll be exploring some of Kim's favourite flow combos, ensuring that we understand the biomechanics of the flow, looking at movement direction and natural flow and also how to use weight distribution to make the movements look effortless.
The majority of the workshop will be low flow and basework, but several of the combos require an invert, so we recommend being at least high beginner level for this workshop.

Haven't done a handstand since you were little? Quite happy being upside down on a pole or hoop, but the thought of standing on your head still seems scary? Quite happy being upside down, just don't understand how it works?
If any of these are you, then this is the workshop for you! In this 90 minutes we will look at techniques for both headstands and handstands, breaking down the biomechanics of the moves off the equipment and building up confidence, and then taking our new found knowledge onto the pole.
For this workshop you do not need to already be able to do either of these skills, but if you can we will look at ways to improve and progress where you're at!
You do not need to be a poler to attend, although we will be looking at pole based shapes to finish. Therefore it would be helpful if you are a high beginner level in either pole or aerial.
