We are heading to the Purbeck Marine Wildlife Reserve at Kimmeridge Bay for a joint event between our Explorers and the DDS diving community. Whether you want to stay dry on the ledges or get fully submerged, there’s something for everyone.
What's Happening:
We'll be starting off with a bit of Rockpooling. Discovering what incredible creatures are hiding in the pools under the lime ledges - from anemones to crabs.
Quick break. Please bring your own food & drink. There is a food hut onsite.
We'll then head over to the designated snorkel trail. With a bit of luck, you'll see Wrasse, Pipefish, Crabs and more in amongst the seasweed forests.
And if we find any litter along the shore, we'll collect it and make sure it gets recorded.
We'll also be contributing to Seasearch's international database with the marine life that we find on the day.
