Kids Snowball Painting Class – with Samantha Hallenus Friday, May 30 *10:00 – 11:30a
Cool off with a creative summer project! In this fun, hands-on painting class, young artists will create an acrylic painting of either a playful trio of snowballs or a cute snowball kawaii character. Students may choose a 10" x 10" or 9" x 12" canvas (size must be requested in advance so supplies can be prepared).
Kids will explore texture, learn about color using the color wheel, and practice layering paint to build their artwork. Each student will leave with a finished painting they’ll be proud to take home and enjoy.
Parents and grandparents are warmly encouraged to stay and share in the creative fun. Grown-ups who want to paint their own masterpiece are welcome to join—just be sure to register!
Ages: 5–10
• Children 7 & under must be accompanied by an adult
• Adults with older children do not need to stay

About the Instructor:
Samantha Hallenus is a beloved art instructor in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana. She has taught art classes since 2005 and has worked with youth through the local recreation department since 2009. Samantha holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of New Orleans and brings years of experience, encouragement, and creativity to every class.
