Calling all future firefighters!

Join the Spokane Fire Department, Downtown Spokane Partnership and River Park Square for the 8th Annual Kids Jr. Fire Academy on Saturday, September 13, from 10:30am-12:30pm at River Park Square and along Post Street in downtown Spokane.

This free, family-friendly event gives kids of all ages the chance to experience what it’s like to be a firefighter while learning important fire and life safety skills along the way.

Future firefighters can explore a variety of hands-on activities, including:
• Tour a fire engine and ladder truck
• See firefighter demonstrations
• Operate a fire hose
• Learn hands-only CPR
• Learn about child passenger safety
• Make a craft
• And more!

Kids can collect stamps as they complete activities throughout the event and earn their very own Jr. Firefighter certificate. Bring the family downtown for a morning of hands-on learning, exciting activities and firefighter fun!
