KIDS COMEDY WORKSHOP II WITH MICHAEL & CONNOR PRITCHARD!

We KNOW kids are funny. And kids like to tell jokes. Copperfield's Petaluma has always wanted to have an Open Mic night for kids ~ but first, we wanted to help kids write their own jokes. So here it is! Our second Comedy Workshop for kids ages 8-12!

So, what's going to happen?

We're hosting our second Comedy Writing Workshop with professional comics Michael Pritchard and his son Connor Pritchard, working with kids to understand how to craft and deliver jokes. Kids attending for the first time will receive a copy of the book LOL 101 - A Kids Guide to Writing Jokes , along with a notebook and pencil for creating. Michael and Connor will work with small groups and will spend time learning and then begin writing an assortment of jokes.

Kids who are returning should bring their notebooks and something to write with and all the material they may have written since the last workshop!

Workshop Instructors:

Michael Pritchard is a stand-up comedian, youth counselor, and advocate of social emotional learning. He speaks to schools, parent groups, and corporations on the topics of communication skills, diversity, bullying, and conflict resolution.

Connor Pritchard is a screenwriter, showrunner and writing coach who ran The Warner Media/HBO fellowship. He produced several TV shows in Hollywood, but just moved back home to build a new culture of DIY storytellers in The Bay Area.
