Bring on September's KIDICAL MASS NORWICH ride!
- Meeting from 12:30 in Chapelfield Gardens for flag-making and bike-decoration.
- Ride at 2pm (circular city-centre route, usually takes an hour at a very gentle pace)
KIDICAL MASS is a global movement of fun family cycle rides, where kids can ride together on the roads in a group. The rides celebrate the freedom cycling brings, and demonstrate the need for safe, segregated, joined-up cycle paths so children (well, everyone!) can move safely around our city.
We welcome kids of any age (0-100), on any type of bike* - bike seats, bikes with stabilisers, trailers, trikes, cargos, tagalongs, bmx, unicycles...
*We'll begin with a special lap of the park with any balance bikers, but then suggest slower riders on balance bikes can stay, craft, play and read some lovely cycle books, while the rest ride the streets.
(We ask that children are accompanied and that you're self-sufficient and responsible for any children you bring along. However, we'll ride as a group and there will be adults to lead the ride and help navigate any traffic.)
Any questions, if you can help as a marshal, or help distribute flyers... or if you have ideas, please don't hesitate to get in touch! We're a friendly bunch!
