IRISH FOLK • AMERICAN FOLK
🍂🎸 “The essence of folk music in its rawest and most authentic form.”
Irish ballads meet American folk in the songs of this award-winning songwriter from Dublin. Raised on the music of The Dubliners and drawn to American songwriters such as John Prine, Townes Van Zandt and Blaze Foley, Kenan writes songs that stay close to storytelling, people and the less polished corners of life.
At 27, he has already played stages including The National Stadium and The Ruby Sessions, supported The Wolfe Tones and The White Buffalo, and toured throughout Ireland, the UK, Europe and the USA. His 2023 Dublin show at Whelan’s sold out, and his set opening for The White Buffalo at The Academy was later released as Live At The Academy (2025).
Following releases including Old Love Letters, he is now recording his first full-band album while continuing to tour. One guitar, an unmistakable voice and songs with one foot in Ireland and the other across the Atlantic.
Missy Sippy, Klein Turkije 16 (near Korenmarkt), Ghent.
Entrance is free. No reservations. A warm contribution is highly encouraged. Be generous. Be kind.
