Ken Liu at The Brattle Theatre

Harvard Book Store welcomes Ken Liu—author of the Hugo, Nebula, and the World Fantasy Award-winner The Paper Menagerie and Other Stories—for a discussion of his new fiction collection, The Passing of the Dragon and Other Stories. He will be joined in conversation by Fonda Lee—award-winning and New York Times-bestselling author of a dozen fantasy and science fiction books including the Green Bone Saga.

There are two ticket options for this event.

1. Book-Included Tickets: Includes admission for one and one hardcover copy of The Passing of the Dragon and Other Stories, pre-signed by the author.
2. Admission-Only Tickets: Includes admission for one.

Ken Liu is an award-winning American author of speculative fiction. His collection, The Paper Menagerie and Other Stories, has been published in more than a dozen languages. Liu’s other works include The Grace of Kings, The Wall of Storms, The Veiled Throne, a second collection The Hidden Girl and Other Stories, and the forthcoming Julia Z series. He has been involved in multiple media adaptations of his work, including the short story “Good Hunting,” adapted as an episode in Netflix’s animated series Love, Death + Robots; and AMC’s Pantheon, adapted from an interconnected series of short stories. “The Hidden Girl,” “The Message,” and “The Oracle” have also been optioned for development. Liu previously worked as a software engineer, corporate lawyer, and litigation consultant. He frequently speaks at conferences and universities on topics including futurism, machine-augmented creativity, the history of technology, and the value of storytelling. Fonda Lee is the award-winning, New York Times-bestselling author of a dozen fantasy and science fiction books, including the science fiction novel The Last Contract of Isako, and the modern epic fantasy Green Bone Saga, which has been translated into seventeen languages and named one of Time magazine’s 100 Best Fantasy Books of All Time.
