Get your spring on with organic seedlings at Kelmarna’s garden party

Spring is the time to start sowing your summer food and with the cost of vegetables rising, there’s no better time to grow your own.

Kelmarna Community Farm is hosting its annual Spring Seedling Sale from 10am - 1pm Saturday 10 October.  It offers everything you need to get started - from seeds and seedlings to compost and tools, as well as an easy to follow growing guide, downloadable from the website www.kelmarna.co.nz.

Every seedling is grown on site so you know it’s organic and lovingly cared for. Kelmarna garden experts will be on hand to give advice about the right growing conditions, soil health and companion planting to keep the bugs at bay.

If chilling in the beautiful garden is more your thing, this free community event includes Kokako coffee, delicious food from the Lophie Project, a bake sale, sausage sizzle and live music.
