After serving as Chief Experience Officer for IBM iX North America, she founded Equipt Women to help aspiring women overcome systemic challenges and rise into roles of influence, leadership, and impact. Kelly’s civic involvement in Columbus included serving as a trustee for Columbus College of Art and Design and as a board director for Experience Columbus and The Center for New Directions. She is the author of two additional books, and writes Get Equipt, a weekly career newsletter. Her work has been recently featured in Fast Company, Business Insider, and Inc. Magazine, and she has appeared on CBS and Fox News, and numerous podcasts. She lives in Santa Barbara, California, with her husband, has two thriving adult children, and one spoiled Yorkie.

Katy Mooney grew up in rural Ohio and launched her career in Columbus, earning degrees in business and law from The Ohio State University. What started as a career in law became an unexpected journey through branding, marketing, executive leadership, coaching, and now authorship. That journey led to leadership roles at Banana Republic, Landor, and Urban Remedy, as well as advising Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies, including Meta, GE, Lululemon, Walmart, and Procter & Gamble. Today, Katy is a performance and leadership coach who has spent 20 years helping people navigate career transitions, build confidence, and reach their potential.
