KC Parks & Recreation's Spring Fling

The Spring Fling on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 12-3 PM at the Swope Park Bandstand celebrates the end of Earth week by teaching the community sustainable practices to help make our parks and planet thrive! Make a positive impact through an afternoon of educational performances, hands on learning experiences, and more! This event is free and for all ages.

Participate in the celebration through the Green Carpet Fashion Show! Highlighting community makers of all ages and skill levels, it showcases designers who prioritize sustainability in their work. This year's featured Designer Ryleigh Hightree will show how she revives old fabrics and clothes into trendy pieces. There is no fee to participate or submit a design.

•Piece must incorporate sustainability (can be made from thrifted items, made with natural dyes, using an item considered trash as an outfit, etc.)
