Kayak Tour: Navigating Naval Live Oaks History and Ecology
Join FPAN and the National Park Service to discover ecology and history along Naval Live Oaks Area!
This tour will last approximately one and half hours; participants will be traveling at a leisurely pace approximately 2 miles along Santa Rosa Sound in Gulf Island National Seashore's Naval Live Oaks Area.
Tour participants will meet at 9:00am for a safety briefing and an introduction before we set out on the water. Kayaks and PFD's will be provided by the National Park Service to all for up to ten who register. Space is limited. If you have your own kayak or paddleboard you are welcome to bring it, but space is still limited. Additional recommended gear that participants should bring include sun protection, water, and snacks (if desired). Participants will be asked to fill out a liability waiver on site in order to participate in the tour.
**RSVP INFORMATION:**
This event is open to the public, but RSVPs are required. Space is limited to 15 participants.
This tour is offered for free.
This tour is recommended for ages 13+; participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
