Kathleen O'Sullivan offers Irish traditional singing at its finest, with flute from Jacquelyn Hynes (Associate Professor, Leeds Conservatoire). Jacquelyn has played alongside and supported many of Ireland's leading artists including Martin Hayes, Michael McGoldrick, Mary Coughlan & Lunasa & toured with Liam Ó Maonlaí. As a multi instrumentalist and songwriter, Andrew’s music reflects the rich and varied canopy of influences he was raised under: trad Irish, folk, country, pop, rock, soul, classical and everything in between. He currently collaborates as part of an Afro Indie R&B duo. They are enjoying brilliant reviews. Kathleen, Jacquelyn & Andrew will give us two forty-five minute spots & the rest of the evening is filled by members of the audience doing a song or tune if they wish.
Everyone is welcome, especially if you'd like to sing or play. We mostly sing and play traditional music from the British Isles, but we enjoy other styles as well. We always start off with some English dance tunes for anyone with an instrument to join in.
We have a loyalty card. Six visits earn you £5 off an evening when admission is £5 or more. It's £10 cash tonight.
