Life sometimes feels like walking down the same street, falling into the same hole again and again. According to Buddhism, that’s karma at work: the imprints of our past shaping how things appear and how we respond.But here’s the hopeful part: karma got us here, but now we have a choice.
In this talk, we’ll explore how karma and dependent arising shape not just the events of our lives, but also the way things appear to us; why certain actions feel “right” even when they lead to suffering. More importantly, we’ll see how each moment offers a chance to make new choices and plant seeds for a different future.
Drawing on the Buddhist understanding of Buddha nature, we’ll uncover the core of basic goodness and the profound workability of mind beneath our habits and afflictions. Nothing is fixed, and transformation is always possible for ourselves and for others. 🌱
