SAMI-X — Karambit Use & Manipulation Seminar
This seminar shifts the focus from pure defense to mastering the karambit itself as a compact, versatile tool. Designed from a practical-use perspective, the session teaches safe handling, drawing and re-holstering mechanics, multiple grip styles (forward, reverse, tactical ring-finger), hooking and slashing mechanics unique to the curved blade, and smooth retention-to-transition sequences. Students will explore offensive and defensive applications, control and manipulation drills, cutting angles for utility tasks, and scenario work emphasizing confined spaces and everyday-carry realities.
Training progresses from solo mechanics (draws, grips, basic manipulations) to partner drills and progressive resistance work that develops fluidity, timing, and safe practice habits. The goal is to build technical competence, tool confidence, and responsible handling so participants can skillfully integrate the karambit into their personal skills set. No live blades permitted — training karambits will be available for use and purchase. Suitable for beginners and experienced practitioners who want to expand their karambit toolbox.
