The Kanza Network is welcoming Amy Bousman with the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks to our monthly meeting. Join us in the Heritage Room at Colonial Church in Prairie Village for a comprehensive discussion and Q&A session.
Following are some of the questions we've prepared for the meeting, but we highly encourage you to bring your own questions to the meeting as this will be your opportunity to speak to the state organization designed to conserve Kansas land and community:
• Does KDWP have plans to ban turtle races as a way to protect the state reptile?
• Which species in Kansas are in need of the most protection right now?
• How does KDWP regulate hunting and fishing to ensure species' population protection?
• Out of the 31 state parks, which ones are the most popular?
• What conservation issues in Kansas should we be focusing on right now?
