Wichita‑area Husker fans — Jeremy here, your new President of the Kansas Cornhusker Club — and I could not be more fired up about what’s ahead. We’re raising the bar this year to give you and your family an unforgettable experience while building serious momentum for the upcoming Nebraska Football season. And with the incredible success across Husker athletics lately, we have plenty to celebrate together.
I’m thrilled to announce that our 2026 Annual Picnic is officially set for The Sandbox at Derby in Derby, KS. This new venue gives us the spacious, high‑energy environment we’ve been needing — more room than ever before, more comfort, and a much better setup for families. Your kids will have tons of space to run and play, plus access to an outdoor turf area loaded with free yard games, including cornhole. And yes… we’ll even have a pickleball court reserved for two full hours. Bring the kids, bring the grandkids — this year is built for everyone.
But here’s the part I’m especially excited about:
We’re welcoming not one, but TWO guest speakers to this year’s picnic. Two names every Husker fan knows. Two voices full of energy, insight, and passion for all things Nebraska.
Adam Carriker and Steve Sipple will be joining us — and we couldn’t ask for a better duo to help kick off the 2026 season. Let’s give them a huge Husker welcome.
