About this Event
A kaleidoscope’s imagery evokes wonder. The word kaleidoscope comes from the Greek meaning “beautiful image viewer.” It is a simple toy invented in 1816 by accident when Sir David Brewster experimented with polarization and refraction of light. Join us to make a simple cardboard kaleidoscope. Appropriate for all ages and abilities. Skills include cutting and glueing. An adult should remain with young children to assist with scissors. Cindy Kerr, volunteer, will be leading the activity.
Information from Oriental Trading Company.
This event is free but donations are suggested. The event is limited to 30 attendees.
Any person wishing to make a kaleidoscope should register.
