Join the Kaimai volunteer trapping group every month to help place bait stations and or clear and tag lines at the top of the Te Tuhi track, under the guidance of the predator control team from Wairere Mahi (WM). Where to meet
At the Te Tuhi trail head at the top of the Te Tuhi Rd
What to bring
- Sturdy walking shoes or boots - the ground you'll be walking on along the trap lines won't be a manicured path
- Raincoat and warm clothes
- Any personal medication (antihistamines, asthma inhaler etc)
- Plb (personal locator beacon) but only if you have one
- Water bottle
- Lunch and snacks
All the bait stations and gear will already be up there, so you won't need to carry anything up except your personal gear and lunch
