Nettie will guide you through karakira and tikanga for harvesting your kawakawa. In her workshop you will learn how to make beautiful balms for your first aid kit and for family care, using native plants. You'll also learn about simple methods and tools for infusing medicinal plants with oil as well as their benefits.

Nettie has been a tutor in many different disciplines over the years: plant regeneration, pest control flora and fauna, rocking, sea kayak, rafting, orienteering, river kayaking, tramping, deep sea caving, sea trawler mahi, managing backpackers, raising sea chickens, duck surveying and tagging. She has a deep appreciation for nature and is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to native plants and their medicinal properties and purposes.
