COCHISE COUNTY TO HOST SECOND JUSTICE AND CARE COLLECTIVE
EVENT IN SIERRA VISTA
BISBEE, Ariz. (January 9, 2026)
Cochise County will host its next Justice and Care Collective community event on February 4, 2026, offering individuals with non-felony warrants a safe, supportive opportunity to address outstanding legal matters while accessing health and social services.
Following the success of the inaugural Justice and Care Collective held in Bisbee last year, county officials and partner organizations are bringing the event to Sierra Vista to expand access to these critical resources. Eleven residents received court assistance at the Bisbee event, six non-felony warrants were quashed, and no arrests were made.
The event allows individuals with eligible non-felony warrants to have their outstanding warrants quashed on-site and receive a new court date, helping participants move forward without fear of arrest. In addition to legal assistance, attendees will have access to a wide range of voluntary services designed to support stability, health, and recovery.
Services available at the event include:
• Assistance with non-felony warrants and expungement
• Visits with medical professionals
• Routine medical screenings
• STI and HIV testing
• Peer support services
• Connections to sober living and behavioral health resources
• Court and legal resource referrals
• Free Narcan distribution
“This event is about removing barriers,” said County Health Director Barbara Lang. “By bringing legal resolution and supportive services together in one place, we help people take meaningful steps forward, benefiting individuals, families and the community as a whole.”
