Juntos Afuera, Outside Together – Open Preserve Day

Join us in celebrating Latino Conservation Week! Sierra Nevada Alliance and Placer Land Trust invite everyone, and especially the Latino community, to enjoy the outdoors together!
We will have yard games, nature lotería, geology talks, and some short guided walks to go on, or you can enjoy the trails on your own! It’s the perfect low-key way to spend a day with the kids or friends, or a great chance for a solo stroll on trails with no crowds. Splash in the small creek to cool off, then hang out with our volunteer who will be talking about what lives in the water. And don’t forget your picnic!
Check in/Arrival: Must arrive between 9:00 am – 10:30 am
Check out: Anytime between 10:30 am – 12:30 pm. Gates close shortly thereafter.
Please thoroughly read the PLT Safety Guidelines (https://placerlandtrust.org/safety-guidelines/). If you are not comfortable or able to comply with the safety guidelines, we respectfully ask that you don’t sign up. Our goal is to offer these open preserve day events quarterly.
This is a free event; however, donations help make these activities possible! We suggest a donation of $10 per person or $25 for a family. You can donate during registration, and we’re happy to accept cash or a check at the event in an envelope with your name written on it.
Registration:
You may only register yourself and members of your household. People outside of your household must register themselves.
The deadline to sign up is 5 pm on Thursday before the event unless the event fills first.
Space is limited! Please only register if you will be attending so that you don’t take a spot away from someone else.

Participants must sign a release of liability. Please complete it by noon the Friday before the event. One form per adult. Parent signature is required for children under 18.

What is not allowed at this event:
Mountain bikes or other bikes
Motorized vehicles
Horses
Dogs (unless leashed service animals)
No smoking, vaping, open flame or ignition source, or firearms

¡Acompáñanos a celebrar la Semana de la Conservación Latina! Sierra Nevada Alliance y Placer Land Trust invitan a todos, y especialmente a la comunidad latina, a disfrutar juntos del aire libre.
Tendremos juegos de patio, lotería de la naturaleza, charlas de geología y caminatas guiadas cortas, o bien puedes recorrer los senderos por tu cuenta. Es la manera perfecta de pasar un día relajado con los niños o amigos, o una gran oportunidad para un paseo tranquilo en senderos sin muchas personas. Puedes refrescarte en el arroyo pequeño y luego platicar con nuestro voluntario que estará compartiendo sobre la vida acuática. ¡Y no olvides tu picnic!
Registro: De las 9:00 a. m. a las 10:30 a. m.
Salida: De las 10:30 a. m. a las 12:30 p. m. Las puertas cierran poco después.
Por favor lee cuidadosamente las Guías de Seguridad de PLT (https://placerlandtrust.org/safety-guidelines/). Si no te sientes cómodo o no puedes cumplir con ellas, te pedimos respetuosamente que no te registres. Nuestro objetivo es ofrecer estos días de acceso abierto al refugio con regularidad.
Este es un evento gratis; sin embargo, ¡las donaciones ayudan a hacer posibles estas actividades! Sugerimos una donación de $10 por persona o $25 por familia. Puedes donar durante el registro, o también aceptamos efectivo o cheque en el evento en un sobre con tu nombre escrito.
Registro
Solo puedes registrar a ti mismo y a los miembros de tu hogar. Personas fuera de tu hogar deben registrarse por separado.
La fecha límite para registrarse es el jueves anterior al evento a las 5:00 p. m., a menos que el evento se llene antes.
¡El espacio es limitado! Por favor regístrate solo si vas a asistir, para no quitarle el lugar a otra persona.

Los participantes deben firmar una exención de responsabilidad. Complétala antes del viernes al mediodía previo al evento. Una forma por adulto. Se requiere la firma de un padre/madre/tutor para menores de 18 años.
