About this Event

SHY OR SOMETHING ELSE?

Does your child talk your ear off at home but goes quiet the second an unfamiliar adult or a group of new kids becomes the audience? Won't raise their hand in class even when they know the answer or mumbles and looks at the floor when a teacher calls on them. Freezes when ordering their own food or lets a sibling talk over them without pushing back?

That's not always shyness. Very often, it's a child who has never been taught their voice is allowed to take up space with people who aren't already familiar. This is exactly the gap our Junior Track is built to close.

Through our LET framework, young childen ages 7–10 learn to:

LOOK INWARD — Build self-awareness through play and reflection: identity activities, feelings exploration, confidence-building games, and a safe space to share simple personal experiences.

EMPOWER — Build confidence through encouragement and practice. Mistakes are treated as part of learning, not something to fear, so kids can practice speaking in an environment built to be safe and encouraging.

TELL MY STORY — Every child has something they want to share. Using the simple PREP structure, we guide them to organize their ideas and confidently tell a short personal story — even to a room full of unfamiliar faces.

About Let Them Speak™

Every child has a voice and deserves the confidence to use it. Many young children have wonderful ideas but don't yet feel confident enough to share them. Some worry about saying the wrong thing while others are simply unsure around people they don't know well.

Left alone, that hesitation can quietly harden into "I'm just not someone who speaks up." The Let Them Speak™ Movement exists to catch that early. We're not trying to build polished performers out of 7–10 year olds. We want to help them realize that at this age, it's the easiest to build the habit of " My voice matters, my story matters, I matter."

Whether your child is already the one telling everyone a story or the one hanging back at the edge of the group, we meet them exactly where they are, at their own pace.

How are we different from other public speaking workshops?

We are not a stage-skills bootcamp. There's no script to memorize and no competition to win. Let Them Speak™ gives young children a genuinely safe space to build the emotional groundwork underneath confident speaking which is to have self-awareness, comfortable with mistakes and simple storytelling skills, even before performance enters the picture.

• 2 day physical bootcamp (9.00am to 5.30pm)
• A safe and inclusive platform to stand up and be heard on 14 November

• 3 x 1hour one-to-one online coaching
• Up to 5 x use of AI Moodie to review and provide immediate feedback for uploaded videos
