Rooted & Rising: Juneteenth Stories & Sounds of Overtown is a day-long celebration honoring the history, culture, resilience, and future of one of Miami’s most historic communities.
Guests of all ages are invited to experience live music and cultural performances, community conversations and storytelling, local food and beverage vendors, art activations, a community memory circle, marketplace shopping, wine tastings, entrepreneur spotlights, historical exhibits, and interactive experiences throughout the day.
Families can also enjoy our Little Legacies Children’s Corner, featuring activities designed to inspire creativity, learning, and cultural connection for younger guests.
Whether you’re a longtime resident, a newcomer, a family looking for meaningful community experiences, or simply someone who appreciates culture, history, and connection, this celebration is for you!
