THE WHO: I AM Academy's theme this year is "I AM the Dream," which focuses on helping our students see and achieve their goals! "I AM the Dream celebrates these successes and highlights the importance of acknowledging accomplishments, whether big or small.

THE WHEN: On June 21, we invite you to join us for a vibrant celebration of freedom, culture, and dreamers at the Juneteenth Freedom Festival at Kollen Park!

THE WHAT: Experience the rhythm of live music, the flavors of delicious food, and the joy of community as we commemorate Juneteenth together! Let's honor history, celebrate resilience, and embrace the spirit of Juneteenth!Bring your friends, family, and neighbors for a day of fun, learning, and togetherness!

THE WHY: In essence, our name, I AM Academy, is a placeholder for a powerful yearly mantra, "I AM...". This year's theme, "I AM the Dream," promotes self-confidence, goal-setting, resilience, and the belief that everyone deserves to create the life they desire.

All funds raised will help us continue providing representation, mentorship, and opportunities for our Black and multiracial youth in the West Michigan are.

Since taking leadership of Holland’s Juneteenth Freedom Festival, we’ve transformed it into a powerful community event, welcoming over 10,500 attendees, 285 vendors, and 24 sponsors. Last year’s festival nearly doubled in participation, filling Kollen Park with vibrant Black-led entertainment, family-friendly activities, and enthusiastic vendor engagement. Your support made this possible, and we would be thrilled to welcome you back as a returning sponsor this year.

As we celebrate our 5th year as a nonprofit, we are preparing for another impactful Juneteenth Freedom Festival on Saturday, June 21, at Kollen Park, centered around the theme “I AM Love.” This festival continues to bring communities together across West Michigan, creating space for joy, meaningful connections, and opportunities for learning and growth.
