Our important holiday of Juneteenth celebrates the end of slavery in our nation. It is the day our country joins together to remember the generational impact on the people of our country, right after the war and up to today.
Our special guest will be author Sonya Womack-Miranda. We will be having a book signing and be selling her book.
Her book was inspired by her grandfather, a Black farmer from rural Pittsylvania County, Virginia, whose life story led her to explore her family's genealogy. She will be sharing this personal journey with our visitors.
