June Jordan Summer Resource Fair 2025

RESOURCE FAIR OVERVIEW

Purpose: The resource fair gives students at June Jordan School for Equity a chance to learn more about the diverse opportunities available to them this summer. The fair also opens a space for students to meet community partners and apply to summer jobs, internships and programs. We believe that the summer break can be an amazing opportunity for students to develop and grow through exploring their interests and getting valuable work experience.

Format:The resource fair will be set-up for tabling, where community partners can share flyers, information, and resources to students as they rotate through the space. The whole school will be going to the fair with their advisory classes. You'll be reaching about 200 youth throughout the fair! Students will be asked to gather information about sites they are interested in and get the appropriate contact information to connect with someone from the organization.

What to bring: Please bring any informational resources about your organization, upcoming events and/or programs being offered, as well as information on opportunities for volunteering or interning at your site. We would definitely encourage the opportunity to register students with your team during the event. If you have applications for programs and/or employment opportunities, we can have staff and student leaders available to help students complete the applications on site. We can also provide laptops for online applications. If this is something you would like to have available, please let me know in advance by email: [email protected]

If you cannot attend but still want to share summer opportunities with our students please email any relevant information or documents to Erin Cavanaugh at [email protected]. We will still display your information at the resource fair and collect contact information from students who are interested in connecting with your site.
