Destination Ride to the only French and Indian War Historic Site in North Carolina. Meet at the Carolina Brewery parking lot in Pittsboro, NC at 9:45, leave at 10:15. Ride is mostly US 64 to Mocksville, then a short stretch on I-40. Lunch on the way at Keaton's Barbecue, as featured in "Our State" magazine. BRING CASH. Fort Dobbs Historic Site has a $5 fee for a guided tour of the Blockhouse. June 20 is "Historic Trades Day" and will have reenactors; blacksmith demonstrations, etc. Return trip is up to participants. You can retrace the outbound route, or blast back on I-40.
