Joe Kenlan was one of those rare people whose kindness, craftsmanship, and generosity left a permanent mark on everyone lucky enough to know him. A master stonemason — quite possibly the finest on the eastern seaboard — Joe shaped not only stone, but community, beauty, and friendship wherever he went. His work carried the strength of his hands and the warmth of his spirit.
We are heartbroken by his unexpected passing following open heart surgery, and we invite friends, family, and all whose lives he touched to gather for a public Celebration of Life. We will share stories, laughter, and tears while eating pizza from the very beautiful pizza oven Joe built for us by hand — a fitting reminder that even in grief, he continues to bring people together around warmth, nourishment, and love.
