Layers and Prints: A Gellie Plate Art Retreat with Cher Salvatore at Extending Grace
The gelli plate is one of the newest and most versatile tools out on the art market right now! The gelli plate allows a form of monoprinting that uses a jelly like platform to make images that can be transferred onto paper or fabric.
Come spend a few days with us and learn various techniques on the gelli plate, as you create an incredible stash of colorful, unique and scrumptious papers to use in your art making and decoupage projects. Learn these techniques on a 5x7 gelli plate, which will be provided for your use at class, along with all the paint, papers, and other media supplies required for each technique. You will have the opportunity to use media that may be new to you, getting the chance to experiment with supplies that you may not own personally. See how these prints get elevated to art with the use of alcohol inks, gold leaf, iridescent paint, lace and more.
Enjoy making an endless supply of collage papers to take home and use in the future to make your art very individualistic and personalized…..papers no one else has, because they were made by you! We will then use some of your new creations, along with some Pentart products, to decoupage and embellish a clipboard and pillar candle for you to take home and enjoy.
Materials are all included, and each participant will leave with a selection of tools to use on their future gelli print endeavors, along with a strong knowledge of the techniques required for successful printing.

We’re honored to host Cher Salvatore once again. Cher is a self-taught mixed media artist whose work has been published in Somerset Studio and Art Journaling magazines. Cher’s passion for art, storytelling, and joyful discovery shines through every project she leads. When she’s not teaching from her lively home studio in Wildwood, Missouri, she’s inspiring others to dive into their own creative journey.

We're excited to offer these two days of creative exploration, great food, and fellowship with other creatives.
Once you've registered, You will be invited to a Facebook private group for more details where we'll give you up to date info and inspiration. We'll give you all the details in the group as well!
We are limiting the class to 10 participants, but we must have 10 to hold the workshop. If we do not reach 10 by June 7, 2026, your fees will be refunded.

You are responsible for your own hotel accommodations. Devon is working on a special rate with a local hotel, and you will be informed of such in the FB group. The Hubbard/ Youngstown area has some wonderful accommodations. Let us know if you need some suggestions. We are located halfway between Cleveland and Pittsburgh.
And if your spouse is a golfer and wants to travel with you, (weather permitting) our area is famous for its affordable, beautiful golf courses. We also have great museums and restaurants that will keep them busy while you're creating!
