Homemade Strawberry Freezer Jam & Buttery ShortcakesPlease join us on June 20, 2026 from 1:00 to 3:00 to celebrate the sweetness of the season with a hands-on class that brings out the best of fresh local strawberries.
In this workshop, you’ll learn how to make vibrant, no‑cook strawberry freezer jam—a foolproof method that captures peak berry flavor with minimal effort and zero canning equipment We’ll walk through selecting and prepping fruit, balancing sweetness, achieving the perfect set, and storing your jam so it stays bright and delicious for months.
Then we’ll shift to baking, creating tender, golden shortcakes that strike the perfect balance between biscuit and cake. You will learn how to mix, shape, and bake your own batch, learning techniques for flaky layers, rich flavor, and a beautiful rise.
Finally, we’ll bring everything together: warm shortcakes, cool jam, and lightly whipped cream for a dessert that tastes like summer in every bite.
Class includes the following:
A jar of your own homemade strawberry freezer jam customized with your own flavors.( Regular or low sugar, bakers choice)
Freshly baked shortcakes to taste
A full recipe packet
Light complementary refreshments,
Confidence to recreate both treats at home anytime
Please bring;
An Apron to protect your clothing
A bag to bring home all of your goodies

The workshop is limited to 8 participants. We must have a minimum of 4 to hold the workshop. If we do not meet the minimum by June 12, 2026 we will refund your workshop fees.
Due to the customization at ALL our workshops, there are NO REFUNDS FOR WORKSHOPS! However, if you are ill or if you cancel with at least 48 hours notice your FULL reservation fee will be turned into a store credit that can ONLY be used for future workshops. Same day cancellations or no-shows will NOT get a credit for a future workshop! Please private message us on Facebook , email us ([email protected]) or call 330-568-4590 to cancel. If you are a “no show” for a workshop for which you have a spot reserved, you forfeit your payment.

Extending Grace is located in the middle of downtown Hubbard, OH. There is abundant parking in the city lot across the street.
