Σε αυτό το μάθημα δεν θα ασχοληθούμε μόνο με τη δημιουργικότητά μας στον τομέα του χορού, αλλά θα επικεντρωθούμε και στον τρόπο με τον οποίο μοιραζόμαστε το έργο μας με το κοινό.
Έχοντας ως βάση το “Supported Body” (Υποστηριζόμενο Σώμα) (γνωστό σε όλους όσους έχουν παρακολουθήσει το μάθημα Theatre Works τα τελευταία χρόνια), θα προχωρήσουμε στη δημιουργία πολλών χορευτικών έργων, παρουσιάζοντάς τα στην αίθουσα, παρακολουθώντας τα με όρους επικοινωνίας και συναισθηματικής ανταλλαγής.
🌀 Θα εξετάσουμε την ίδια τη δράση της παράστασης και όλες τις απαιτήσεις και τις προκλήσεις που ενυπάρχουν σε αυτή τη δραστηριότητα.
🎯 Θα επικεντρωθούμε στις προσωπικές ικανότητες και αδυναμίες σχετικά με το μοίρασμα των στοιχείων της παράστασης με το κοινό και ποιες ακριβώς μπορεί να είναι οι επιθυμίες ενός ατόμου να εισέλθει σε αυτόν τον τομέα της δραστηριότητας.
Το μάθημα απευθύνεται σε «δημιουργούς χορού» και «θεατρικούς εργαζόμενους» που επιθυμούν να βελτιώσουν τις ικανότητες και τις δεξιότητές τους στη ζώνη της ζωντανής ερμηνείας.

🔹 Intensive Instant Composition Workshop
🔹 Thessaloniki | 2 – 6 January 2026

In this course we shall not only be working our creativity within the dance field but will focus on the way we share our work with an audience.
With the base of the ´Supported Body´ work (familiar to all those who have taken Theatre Works course in the past few years), we shall progress into the making of many dance pieces, showing them in class, watching them in terns of communication and emotional exchange.
🌀 We will look into the very action of performing and all the demands and challenges inherent in this activity.
🎯 We will focus on personal abilities and weaknesses concerning sharing elements of performance in public and what precisely might be the wishes of an individual to enter this realm of activity.
The course is aimed at “dance-creatives” and “theatre-workers” who wish to advance their abilities and skills within the live performance zone.

Julyen Hamilton’s biography:
Julyen Hamilton is a dancer / choreographer / poet / teacher / musician. He has been making and performing dances for 45 years throughout the world. He has made over 100 solos as well as 20 years of Company pieces and numerous collaborations with dancers and musicians and theatre performers.
Born and brought up in England he trained in London in the 1970’s, a time of radical experimentation, he has been an exponent of innovative performance since that time. His work is mostly improvised : he composes dance works instantly as well as the texts which often accompany them. His work with text is unique. It fuses naturally his long-term writing practice with his refined skills in dancing. When working with his company ALLEN’S LINE he directs dancers and lighting designers to make and perform work through this same immediacy.
Since the 80’s he has performed constantly in close collaboration with many of the highest quality musicians from all over Europe. (Barre Phillips, Fred Frith, Tristan Honsinger, Michael Moore…) It is with some of these musicians that he gives readings of his poetry. He is at present performing the solos ‘INTERVIEW’, ‘HELD DEAR’ and “a KOAN for our Times” performing with bass player Barre Phillips, Nuria Andorra and Jordina Millá amongst many others.
With his company ALLEN’S LINE, he has been performing “GOAT OCEAN” in Rome, Paris, Bruxelles and France during 2023 and their new work “CHILD of DAY” has shown in Paris and Bruxelles during 2024.
As a pianist he plays regularly with Hamilton Carroll in Berlin and Brussels. Their first cd ‘POINTER’ was released in 2016. His label ‘BLUEDOG PUBLISHING.net’ produces videos of his performances on DVD, CDs and print. His new poetry album ‘Jack Gets Out of Prison’ with bassist Wilbert de Joode was released in 2018 and ‘The Road to Amarillo’ piano/text/bass with Giorgos Kokkinaris released in 2022.
