The KAC state monthly program starts at 1:30 on Zoom* (we’ll watch it as a group in the library’s Arteaga room, if you join us in person). Wichita-area folks should already be familiar with poet and fiction writer Catherine Menefee! She’ll present her best tips and tricks on “Social Media for Authors”—more info:

2:30 WICHITA AREA MEETING / TOPIC
Join us for a presentation by Wichita educator and author Lakshmi Kambampati, whose new book, 'Uncharted Paths: A Memoir of Teaching and Learning,' reflects a lifetime of teaching, travel, and cross-cultural learning.
Lakshmi will share how decades of journals and classroom experiences became a memoir, with stories from Wichita, India, Liberia, Tanzania, Japan, Tajikistan, and the Caribbean. Her talk will explore resilience, curiosity, courage, lifelong learning, and the surprising lessons teachers receive from their students and communities.
Feel free to arrive early to hang out; the Arteaga Room is reserved for KAC between 12 noon and 4 p.m. (The specific room will change in later months.) Meetings are from 1:30-3:30 p.m. with a short break between. There are snacks! 😋The Evergreen library branch stays open until 6 p.m. Saturday—remember your library card, or get one while you’re there.
