July Poetry Slam

A good slam brings poetry that pops the webs from your mind delivered by amazing spoken artists. But those poets need people looking to listen with an open mind. Come listen or read, all are welcome.
Hope anyone wondering if they have something to share, you do and this is about as welcoming a place you can find. Come share some spoken word on the stage or in the audience.

As those of you who come to the Slam on nights Joshua hosts he compiles an 'Exquisite Corpse' poem using the first line of the poems read. If the poets are comfortable he is willing to share that after.
We put out the sign up sheet at 7:30 and start at 8p. Poets, bring 2 original poems for 2 rounds. Judges have scores from 1-10 but all the love goes to the poet. The bravery of reading original work is the star. Bring an open mind and a love for spoken word.
Lindsay is the best host. And all ages are welcome.
We are running out of used books for prizes and would be happy to accept art or books you would like to share with others. Prizes could start to get creative!
Feel free to bring your beverage of choice.
