July Book Choice: The Women by Kristin Hannah

Our July choice is a historical novel about Frances “Frankie” McGrath, a young woman from a privileged California family who joins the Army Nurse Corps and serves in the Vietnam War. Through her experiences during the war and her difficult return home, the novel highlights the courage of women who served and the long-lasting emotional scars of conflict, friendship, and resilience in the face of being overlooked by history.
