July Art Walk Night Market and Comedy Open Mic

The former Golden Roosters space has officially been reborn as Suya Palace — a vibrant new Nigerian restaurant and bar bringing incredible food, upgraded sound and lighting, and fresh energy to one of Pioneer Square’s most iconic underground venues.

Located in the same historic space on Occidental Avenue, Suya Palace now hosts a rotating mix of Art Walk vendors, fashion pop-ups, music, nightlife, and creative events throughout the month.

For this month’s Art Walk, the Comedy Open Mic is also moving to Suya Palace, turning the venue into a full evening destination for shopping, food, drinks, and live entertainment. Guests can explore local artists, makers, vintage curators, and fashion vendors upstairs while comedians perform live in the underground lounge atmosphere below.

Hosted by Masih Ahmed, the open mic gives performers a chance to get in front of packed Art Walk crowds while visitors experience one of the most unique nightlife spaces in Pioneer Square.

This is more than a market — it’s part of the next chapter of Pioneer Square nightlife, creativity, and community.
