July 4th On Red Oak Victory
About this Event
Come to Red Oak Victory and celebrate our Nation's 250th Anniversary on a ship that served that Nation in war and peace.
Red Oak Victory will be open on July 4 for extended hours, 10 am- 5 pm. In addition to our normal tour options, we are offering a special, All-American lunch served from 11 am - 2 pm. Admission to the ship plus a freshly-cooked lunch is just $30 for adults (plus $3.85 fee) and $10 (plus $2.51 fee) for kids 8 and under. Lunch consists of your choice of hotdog or hamburger plus chips and a soft drink. Additional hotdogs and burgers are available for puchase plus additional softdrinks and, for those over 21, beer is also offered. All adults purchasing a drink recieve an aluminum, patriotic flag cup that you can use all summer long to celebrate our Nation's birthday (see photo below)
Those with lunch tickets may also purchase a docent-led tour at the gate when you arrive. Docent tour of the upper decks is $5 and a docent tour that includes the lower engine room decks is $10.
Your lunch will be accompanied by live music by The Flashbacks from 11 am - 3 pm. The band is new to Red Oak VIctory but includes our Chief Engineer on drums!
Those who do not wish to purchase lunch can simply show up on July 4 and pay the usual admission fee of $15 (which includes self-guided tour options), or purchase a docent-led tour for $20 (upper decks) or $25 (includes engine room).
