A Crookes Folk Club presentation at The Princess Royal, 43 Slinn Street, Sheffield, S10 1NW.
*TICKETING & DOOR POLICY*
Whilst we occasionally run ticketed Friday Night Specials, entry for our regular weekly Thursday club nights is on a first-come-first-served basis and unticketed and we do not take advanced seat bookings.
Entry for regular club nights is free, we pay our guests by way of a *CASH* collection. Whilst we understand that some simply haven't the means to make a contribution and absolutely DO NOT wish to exclude them, we expect those who can to make as generous a donation as they are able in recognition of our guest's work.
*PLEASE CHECK FOR UPDATES BEFORE SETTING OUT*
Life is full of unexpected ups and downs, illness, weather and other unexpected things can spoil the best made plans. We may sometimes have to change our guest at short notice, or even cancel an evening altogether. To avoid disappointment please re-visit the relevant night's event for updates *BEFORE* setting out.
*JULIAN JONES
Julian is a singer/songwriter and musician from Sheffield.
His music has an American country/British Indie influence with a Spaghetti Western tinge making it a little more unique to the country music sound. You cannot put his music into the 'country music' box, as he makes no claim to being the genuine article by any means. "I just like the hats and boots" he did say. There is a definite nod towards the country scene which Julian does love and has had first hand experience in, in his travels and performances in Austin and Nashville as well as the UK. You can listen to Julian's songs by visiting apple iTunes, spotify, Amazon or any of the major download platforms. There are four albums available for download. "One Shoe On and One Shoe Off", "Nostalgia Blue", "Multi-coloured Canyons" and the album he has written for singer Lindsay Dracass "Waiting for You".
Julian released his fourth solo album "Looking From Where I Stand" and six track EP "Where to is Beyond Me" a couple of years ago.
