Joyriders Manchester, Women only Intermediate PLUS to LES The Baker, Gorton

Come join us for a 16 mile return ride along shared cyclepaths & roads to LES the Baker, in Gorton. Our pit stop is approximately midway on our ride.

We'll be meeting at Chorlton "Waterpark" car park which is just off Maitland Avenue for a 10am start. Do arrive a few minutes earlier for the safety check & briefing. If coming by car give yourself enough time to remove your bike. There is free parking at the Water Park. https://w3w.co/clay.foster.scuba There are toilets which should be open at this time. We'll be cycling along the Fallowfield Loop to Gorton for our pit stop before returning along the roads via Heaton Chapel, Heaton Moor & Heaton Mersey towards Didsbury where we'll cycle the quiet back streets (a small secion of Barlow Moor Road is necessary) back to Chorlton Water Park. This is mostly tarmac terrain with some gravel areas, so I would say any bike is suitable, although there maybe cycle barriers too narrow for trikes.

• An Intermediate PLUS ride of 16 miles
• Average speed 9-10mph
• Cyclist: Confident on a bike & able to keep pace within a group.

All our rides do have a leader & backstop however, so nobody gets left behind.

Please be on time as we are not able to wait for latecomers.

Please bring with you:

• A helmet if you wish to wear one
• Water
• Snacks
• Gloves if it gets cold
• Money and card for the Cafe if you wish to buy something (some cafes only accept one of these)

• A bike lock
• A spare inner tube
