Joyride Group Ride!

Come roll with us for a Joyride, a gravel group ride co-hosted by Rebe from RebeExplores and B & Lauren from Queer+ Bikes! Whether you’re a seasoned rider or just in it for a fun, social spin, this ride is all about getting outside, connecting with community, and enjoying the (gravel) road together.

We'll have 2-4 pace groups depending on RSVP numbers, with options between 10-14mph average. The current route is 33 miles / 1100 ft elevation and is subject to change closer to the ride date depending on weather or other factors. We'll provide a ride file a couple days before.

Come at 9:00am to socialize and make sure you have everything you need and be ready for ride announcements and giveaways at 9:15am with rides leaving at 9:30am.

Drinks for purchase available at Bean Cycle Roasters before and after the ride.

Bring your bike and gear, and come ride with us. Carpooling or riding to the start is highly encouraged. Street parking and parking garages nearby, please make a plan before you come.

Expectations:

• You are responsible for you! While this is no-drop, we do have specified pace groups, so please ride within your means. Additionally, please have a back-up plan and someone to contact if you have a bike failure that can't be repaired, take a fall and can't complete the ride, or don't want to complete the route for any other reason.
• We ask that you show up with kindness by being a great cycling steward, assume good intent, and exhibit responsible group ride etiquette by communicating and being predictable.
• We ride with the general mantra of come for the bikes, stay for the community: We might get a good work out in, or we might be soft pedaling and making new friends, above all we’re here for joy

What to bring:

• The route loaded on your phone or navigation device
• A working bike (don't forget your ABCs - check your tire pressure, your brakes, and lube you chain)
• A helmet
• Enough nutrition & water for your body and needs
• Layers (and somewhere to put them)
• Sunscreen - It's Colorado, enough said!
• A good attitude
• Extra tube (even if you're tubeless)
