Welcome to your Nia Retreat in the Highlands
A restorative, two-day Nia getaway! Give yourself time to pause from the everyday.
Joyful movement lies at the heart of this two-day experience, woven together with meaningful connection, deep immersion in nature, and the magic of our remote sanctuary, just eight miles from the shores of Loch Ness.

What is our offering?
Two nights in a comfortable, ensuite room with breakfast, lunch and dinner included. Our experienced facilitators will lead us through three Nia classes, two workshops and two mindful nature walks.
BOOKING: Email [email protected]
All sessions are optional, and we invite you to move at your own pace, progressing through the levels as we do in a Nia class. This is an opportunity to remind your body that there is no rush - that you can slow down, take a breath, and truly unwind.

This retreat is simply just for you. At any time during your stay you are free to choose time in nature, maybe taking one of the way-marked walks on the estate; four different routes for all abilities.

Classes will be held in An Taigh-ceilidh, a spacious, light-filled studio.

When is it?
Tuesday 31st March – Thursday 2nd April
With spring arriving later in the Highlands, this is an ideal moment to warm your soul alongside nature, embracing a gradual shift from winter’s stillness as we honour rest, gently awaken, and move into a new season.

Where is it?
Nestled in the Dundreggan Estate, home of the Rewilding Centre. You can find out more about how to find us here: https://visitdundreggan.co.uk/about/
All rooms are twin / double and fully accessible.*
Total cost to you for room, food and all the classes and workshops: £395
* The price is based on single occupancy. So, if you would like to share a room, your cost will be lower as the room price is shared. Please let us know and we’ll explain the reduced price.

What do I need to bring?
· Clothes to move and dance in. Wear layers as we will be moving through energy levels in your own self-paced way
· A yoga mat, your favourite cushion or a blanket
· Drinks and snacks – there is a small kitchen to store these within your accommodation, as well as communal spaces to relax between classes
· Outdoor clothes, the weather is very unpredictable here – it’s part of the fun!
Small print / important information
We are asking for a 50% non-refundable deposit payable now, our deadline is 30th January.
Final payment to be made by 15th March.

Refunds
This will be an intimate gathering, but due to our commitment to the venue, our minimum number of participants is 10. If this number is not met, we will return your deposit.
If, after 30th January, you find you are unable to attend, please consider finding a friend to take your place and cover costs as we will be unable to refund you at this point.
Thank you for your understanding.
Transparency about costings
You are invited to our first ever Nia Highland Retreat! We are running this event at cost (no profit) so unfortunately are unable to offer discounted places this time. We hope to have a number of discounted places at all future events.
All payments can be made to Meg – bank details on request.
If you have any questions about the venue, workshops, and classes please get in touch with Meg: [email protected]

About us
🌸Letizia Accinelli
Two-time Nia Trainer of the Year award recipient (2014 and 2019), and Nia Second Degree Black Belt and Teacher Trainer, Letizia began her journey with Nia in 1999 in Hamburg. She deepened her practice in the United States, training directly with founders Carlos and Debbie Rosas. In 2005, she moved to Rimini, becoming the first Nia teacher in Italy and giving birth to a community that continues to grow.
Since 2011, Letizia has been part of the Nia Training Faculty, training teachers internationally. Her classes and trainings are regularly offered in both Italian and English. She is qualified to lead the Art of Sensation, Art of Communication, and Moving to Heal trainings.
She is deeply passionate about Nia for its extraordinary adaptability—a practice that supports fitness, well-being, and healing, always infused with joy and fun.

🌸Karen Reynolds
As an experienced Nia teacher and Groove facilitator, Karen’s work has centred on grounded, embodied movement with a playful twist. Her current health journey has required a shift towards a deeper relationship with rest and nervous system care. She offers gentle, supportive spaces for rest and reset, grounded in safety, connection, and self-compassion.

🌸Meg Elphee
A student of Nia for over 15 years, Meg began her teaching practice in Fife in 2022. She has now discovered a deep focus on wellbeing and nature connection, rooted in the Highlands of Scotland.
